How did you get into the technology field?
I started as a Computer Specialist at Radio Shack when computers were still a new concept for most people. This was the time of Windows 2.0, when you had to purchase a time chip in order to for your PC to keep time, and dot-matrix printers were the “thing of the future”.
When did you join the Databranch team?
I worked for Databranch as a bench tech for most of 1995, left for a little while, and returned to Databranch in November of 2000.
What do you like best about Databranch?
What makes Databranch unique is the way that each of the Team members grows to depend upon one another. Since we can’t all “know it all”, we can call on each other to ask questions when we need to, knowing what areas of expertise we can call upon from each other. We have such a diverse skill set among our Team, we can not only meet, but exceed our Customer’s expectations.
How would you describe your role at Databranch?
I am the Senior Systems Engineer, specializing in Cloud Technologies, Microsoft and Citrix which include AWS and GCP, Remote Desktop Services, Business Networks, Application Delivery and Infrastructure.
What’s an interesting way that you use technology in your personal life?
I really enjoy Geocaching which uses GPS technology to locate items that have been placed by someone else and logged with their specific coordinates. It’s tons of fun, and gets me up off the couch and out exercising. I also have several Smart Home Devices, which are a growing interest for me, and I use remote cameras to enjoy my Birdwatching
How many computers do you own?
Well, if you count all the ones in all the devices I own, then lots. But, if we were talking just PCs, then that would be 3, one for myself and 2 for my Wife.
Describe the first computer you ever purchased:
My family owned a Commodore 64, the one with the tape drive to load the BASIC programs and plugs into a black and white TV.

Geocaching, Kiting, Model Rocketry and Birding
